Google Chrome Hits Stable Release For Mac And Linux

HotHardware - The Web browser battle is seriously heating up. Apple is retooling Safari, Firefox is headed for big things in the next major point release, IE9 is expected to make Internet Explorer desirable again, and Google is finally removing the Beta label from the Mac and Linux versions of Chrome. That's right, there's a new Chrome stable release to download this week, with OS X and Linux users in particular being welcomed in for the first time.
